Pancreatitis?: I assume you are asking about pancreatitis, which is an inflammation of the pancreas gland. The pain associated with pancreatitis is constant, not intermittent or related to position. Hello. When I lay on my back usually at the end of the day as soon as I lay down I get chest pain in my left side like at the bottom corner of my lung and I cant take deep breaths without severe pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
