Psychotherapy is done with a psychologist or a psychiatrist ?

Both and more: Commonly psychiatrists are too busy to do regular psychotherapy sessions so psychologists, clinical social workers and several other licensed therapists do talk therapy. A trial to see if they understand your issues and know how to treat them along w/ a sense of trust and ability to work together is the main thing. Rx is the main Tx for psychiatry now.

BOTH: Both can (and do) practice psychotherapy. However, currently, for the most part psychiatrists prescribe medications and hopefully collaborate closely with psychologists, who do the psychotherapy.
