Palmar erythema: You picked a really complex symptom. Sometimes it also affects the soles (plantar erythema). Sometimes no one can figure out what caused it, after excluding a host of disorders like lupus or cirrhosis, or a drug side-effect (toperamate), or post viral infection, including Rubeola (German Measles). If it doesn't go away in a few days, a trip to your PCP is needed. Skin peeling may occur later.
