A member asked:

Can gonnorrhea be treated with 1 g of azithromizin ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: on where one contract the infection. In the US, the standard recommendation is 1 gram of ceftriaxone and 1 gram of azithromycin so azithromycin by itself is likely not enough. 2 grams of azithromycin had been recommended in the case of severe penicillin allergy up until a few years ago but not any more.
