A member asked:

Grandmother is on effexor, savella, (milnacipran) and valium[15mg], does not know reason for the first two. she has recently had severe tremors in hands, culprit?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tremors & med mixing: I can identify two problems. The less important is age, as dosification might need to be carefully establish. However, the situation is complicated with the combination of Effexor and Savella (milnacipran) since the first is a dual SSRI with noradrenergic effect and Savella (milnacipran) is a Norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor. This would be the possible cause of her severe tremors. Contact the MD and start a proper taper.
