Infection: You may have an infection in your axilla. Antibiotics may be needed. Try to see a doctor tomorrow before it gets larger. Might be from shaving. Change to a new blade, clean it out with old toothbrush after each use and leave in a dry location, not wet tray in shower.

Other alternatives: Agree with Dr. Harris, infection is most likely. Sometimes, though, the infection can be quite severe and require an operation. Also, sometimes it is swollen because of a lymph node enlargement. It is frequently treated with antibiotics first, with surgery reserved for failure of the antibiotics to resolve the swelling.
