Depends: There are a few things to look into if pain persists after a filling. If you can post a little more info. Size of cavity, filling material, when the filling was done etc...I may be able to better direct you.

See the dentist: Some sensitivity can occasionally occur after a filling, which should decrease and resolve overtime. Otherwise see the dentist who place the filling. There are many reasons why the tooth could be painful, some simple and easily resolved, some unfortunately could mean you need further treatment such as a root canal. Your dentist will be willing to take another look and resolve the issue with you.
