You areirritating it: better to put nothing on it, use ice or cold compresses to reduce the inflammation/ pain. When it comes to a head, it may turn into a small boil, if you continue to play with it. Then apply warm compresses for 5 mins. to dilate it to open it up to drain. Keep it dry & clean. Otherwise, you're going to have an infected pimple needing ABx. Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation can lead to scarring.
