Most people can: They are safe for most people to use, if they are properly fitted. Complications are most likely to occur in patients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy, connective tissue disease, or a leg infection such as cellulitis. Some brands may also contain latex or other potential allergens which can cause allergic responses in some patients.
