A member asked:

I am a very immobile person. would it be wise and safe to wear compression socks/stockings since i have a family history of blood disorders?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not, Matt: You've 19 and you're so inactive you're thinking of wearing a old person's compression stockings rather than go talk a walk or play a ball game with your friends? What's up, buddy? This isn't you. Is someone interfering with your doing the things that a normal teenager gets to do? Perhaps your family physician can help you find a happier way to live. That's what I'll bet you really want.
