A member asked:

Can primary acquirec melanosis with atypia be discovered during a routine eye exam? mine was in 2/2015, 7 months postpartum, 19 months after prior eye check at optometry office.

Difficult diagnosis: You should be examined by an Eye specialist (ophthalmologist) than an optometrist. Only the former can do a detailed good examination to make such a rare diagnosis. I would not trust this diagnosis coming from an optometry office. Do not sit on it too long as there is some risk of melanoma in a situation like you are faced with.
