A member asked:

I had (was exposed to?) hep c; can i sell/donate my breast milk? i never knew i had it til i was preg and just have the antibodies or something

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get checked: If you have Hep C antibodies you Ned to be checked to see if you have circulating virus. This has implications for your health. Effective therapy is now available. If antibody is negative, no worries. Even if you have active hepatitis C breast milk is extremely unlikely to transmit the virus to the infant.
