Be careful!: Many conditions can cause this. Has your finger been injured or burned? Do you have infections around your nails? Have you had infected areas recently? Are you diabetic? Moisten the area with vaseline and use warm soaks for 10 minutes each hour while keeping dressed in soft dressing and keep elevated above the heart. See a provider if you are worse.
