A member asked:

I had a ct scan that showed asymmetrical lateral ventricles. rt side larger. went in for pain in temple. is this concerning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

AsymmetricVentricals: It is hard to answer your question without examining your CT to assess for any other pertinent findings. A small percentage of the population is born with asymmetric lateral ventricles and have no symptoms. Occasionally one may develop ventricular asymmetry as a result of a variety of causes - trauma, infection/inflammation, malignancy, post radiation, post-surgical, etc. Consult your neurologist.
