GASTRITIS : Yes excess alcohol intake can cause gastritis or inflammation of the stomach. You need to start Zantac (ranitidine) to decrease acid production to heal the stomach. Also discuss with your doctor help with tapering alcohol use. If bleeding or vomiting blood develops seek prompt attention.
