"depo" shot: Depoprogesterone ("depo") usually acts to stop ovulation, and does not cause prolonged bleeding. It is uncommon for bleeding to be prolonged, especially for three to four months, as you describe. You should schedule an exam with your healthcare provider. First get a serum HCG test to be certain you are not pregnant. Unlikely, but possible.
