Similar: These are both antifungal medicines but Monistat is a topical (intra-vaginal) that is available otc. Both are effective in candida vaginitis (yeast infection).

Not exactly: While they are both antifungals, they inhibit different enzymes so have different mechanisms of action. They both usually work very well, though. Good luck.
