A member asked:

Is catchin a cold or flu virus dangerous at 32 wks pregnancy? how can i best avoid getting one frm family & friends this winter? major germaphobia :(

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely not: The risk with most viral infections during pregnancy is during the first trimester. The developing fetus is usually well protected in the womb from infections and by breast feeding after delivery.
