A member asked:

I used almost pure apple cider vinegar to help with swollen tonsils but now my gums are swollen could the vinegar have burned my gums?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vinegar-gum tissue: It is always possible that a homeopathic remedy may lead to complications. It may be possible that the acidic nature of the vinegar "burned" your gum tissue. Use salt water rinses and gentle brushing for the next few days. Fortunately the gum tissue can heal rapidly. If the symptoms persist check with your dentist.
