First...: need to define the palpitations. Literally everyone has occasional skp beats. So... no heart disease. Furthermore, thinking one has palpitations is a very very common occurrance in panic attack wtihout any heart disease. Then, increased pressures onto the heart (lung, kidney, liver disease, drugs of abuse, others) will cause increased twitchiness/palpitations. mostly....not heart disease.

Palpitations: These are caused by many things. Stress, excitement, irritants both physical and chemical, pressure like a hiatal hernia or esophageal push or pull, and primary heart things, the causes are very many in number.
