Heart Evaluation: See a cardiologist for evaluation soon, as the symptom may represent an undetected problem. Diabetics may not experience the usual symptoms of heart problems until the condition is worse and harder to treat. Heart fluttering may be a sign of decreased blood flow, a valve problem or atrial fibrillation (which can cause a stroke).
