As a relatively healthy 70 year old with controlled diabetes, i have noticed lately an occasional heart flutter. what should i do?

Palpitation: Let your doctor know, probably no big deal but if its a change its worth checking out.

Diabetics may not experience the usual symptoms of heart problems until the condition is worse and harder to treat. Heart fluttering may be a sign of decreased blood flow, a valve problem or atrial fibrillation (which can cause a stroke).
