Spotting on ocps: Spotting on low dose oral contraceptives is very common. If usually indicates that the dose of estrogen or progesterone are too low. Seek medical advice from your health care provider who can adjust your hormone dose with a pill change. Doubling up will stop the spotting temporarily, but once on a lower dose it may reoccur.
