Sometimes: Most breast cysts do not spontaneously rupture. They typically remain for months to years. If they resolve, they tend to resolve by resorption. Trauma to the breast can cause bruising and rupture of cysts. If there has been no trauma, you should discuss this with your doctor.

Bruising: Bruising can happen when cysts rupture. Might be good to get it checked by a doctor to make sure it is not something else that caused the bruising.
