Unprotected sex?: Unless you have been using another method of contraception, the absence of a period after removal of a copper IUD could definitely be due to pregnancy. Do a pregnancy test to find out for sure. Hope this helps.

Consult recommended: With the copper IUD, were you having regular periods? If you were, then not having a period now would be abnormal and you should be evaluated by a GYN to determine what's going on. Was there anything that significantly changed in your life? I'd recommend starting w/a pregnancy test as well.
