No: troponins are not predictive of future events, per se. These labs are most useful at ruling out an acute heart attack here and now...not necessarily in 1-2 days etc. May I ask what someone your age is asking this question for? If worried for yourself, in your age group troponins would largely be unhelpful because the incidence of that kind of problem (heart attack) in your age group is so slim

No: Troponin T is a protein in cardiac muscle. If there is damage to the heart muscle, it will be released into the bloodstream, and elevated levels can be measured in the blood. It is used to document the muscle damage that occurs in a heart attack, but it is not useful to predict chances of a future heart attack, since the levels are not elevated until damage has already occurred.
