A member asked:

How many mg of folic acid is safe and healthy for a man to have?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Recommended daily allowance RDA is 400 mcg/day. However if you have elevated Homocysteine levels I treat with Folic acid 1 mg per day. So the lesson is; establish a relationship with a Doctor, obtain labs, get a physical. The Doctor and you can make treatment decisions including vitamins depending on your health conditions.
