AM throat pain: Could be reflux. Consider raising head of bed ( pillow under mattress), try ranitidine and or prevecid, avoid lots of coffee, soda, alcohol ,spicy food and smoking. Alternatively could be allergies with post nasal drip, elevating head of bed helps and try zyrtec/ before bedtime

Air quality: You may need to use an air cleaner in your room. I recommend a cleaner that uses HEPA filter to reduce pollen and dander. You should also close your windows in your bedroom as more pollen could enter.
