Lot of possibilities: Pain in the upper abdomen cAn be due to a lot of possible causes, related to the stomach, esophagus, gallbladder, or even the heart. A simple test to try to sort it out is to see if antacids help the pain at all. Try taking two Tums (calcium carbonate) to see if you have any relief. If your problem persists, see your doctor.
