Treating cervicitis: The causes of cervicitis include STDs, especially chlamydia, but chlamydia is uncommon over age 25. And not all cervicitis is due to STD or other bacterial infection. It is normal to try an antibiotic like azithromycin, but often it doesn't work. When it works, it can take a while, but 5 days is a bit long. The important thing is to follow up with your doctor and follow her advice. Good luck!
