Not likely: Bright red rectal bleeding is very abnormal and could be due to hemorrhoids,diverticulosis,inflammatory bowel disease or growths in the rectocolon area. Have a physician examine you for diagnosis and treatment. Appropriate tests will be ordered depending upon the evaluation.
