You need a work up: if you have hiv then a pneumonia may not have fever or chills. see a doctor to do the testing that is necessary to determine what the problem really is.

CHRONIC COUGH: Chronic cough that persists is usually secondary to Allergies , Asthma or GERD. Follow up with your PCP for exam/labs/CXR. If you have risk factors for HIV you must tell your doc so you can be screened appropriately. Please practice safe sex for multiple reasons, (PREGNANCY/STD/HIV) YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.
