ALLERGIC REACTION: you may be having an allergic reaction to the Azithromycin. You need to be examined promptly and have labs checked (Especially Eosinophil level) I normally would treat with a prednisone taper over 8 days. If symptoms worsen and you have difficulty breathing go to nearest ER.

Allergic reaction: Why do you think your allergic reaction is due to azithromycin and not Imodium, Prilosec or Zantac (ranitidine)? Luckily, there are no drug-drug interactions (http://goo.gl/g2b6d9). It could be due to anything. There's always a 1st time. Go see your Family Doc. Go to ER if any more swelling or difficulty swallowing/breathing (in which case, best to call 911 to provide transportation).
