If it is from cold?: Absolutely. Cold virus inflamed your eustachian tubes preventing the secretion to drain to the nasopharynx and increasing the pressure in the middle ear. Take otc decongestant such as Sudafed and an antihistaminic such as zyrtec (cetirizine) hopefully you get better in few days.

URI: It may be an indication of allergic sinus with ear symptoms or progression to an infection of the sinuses or ear. If continues to get worse have it examined
