A member asked:

Can a kid have bipolar tendencies if their parent is bipolar, and not truly have it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Certainly: Children raised by one or more bipolar parents learn to deal with life much like their parents creating chaos because, even though the situation may be uncomfortable they are familiar with the dynamics. Thus a child of a bipolar parent might be taken as bipolar.
