Many options: For skin infections, regardless of diabetes or not, antibiotic choices include penicillin-type eg dicloxacillin or 1st generation cephalosporins eg cephalexin, as well as sulfa eg Bactrim/Septra. Clindamycin, minocycline & doxycycline are also good choices. Decision is also based upon potential for MRSA as cause of infection. Check out http://goo.gl/2XcDkx for 2nd opinion.
