Erosion: Of the epithelium of the stomach .Usually from acid. Likely will have burning pain on eating. Usually treated with antacids or proton pump inhibitors

Upper gi: First have an endoscopy and they can check to see if bacteria are a cause. Then start a treatment plan probably a medication to block acid production allowing for it to heal
