A member asked:

Is there a blood test to detect any/all cancers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cancer screening: There are blood tests that can screen for certain types of cancer, but they do not necessarily prove that there is cancer, even if abnormal. You should discuss your concerns with your family physician to see IF there is a particular test that you might benefit from having done. There is no value in doing a routine series of tests if there is no indication that they are needed.
