Skin damage: of many types are common consequences of sunbed use. Sunbeds give out ultraviolet (UV) rays that increase the risk of developing all types of skin cancer. Many sunbeds give out greater doses of UV rays than the midday tropical sun. Use of sunbeds also results in premature aging of the skin and development of wrinkles. Looking better in the short run is hardly worth the long term risks.
