I was on topical azithromycin for mgd. at first my eyes got worse then really good for a few days then really bad. could i be allergic to the drops?

Probably: You may be allergic to the preservative rather than the medication itself. You need to consult your ophthalmologist about this problem and he or she can probably find you a better med.

Allergy: Yes it could be an allergic reaction but it could represent another phenomenon such as recurrence of original problem or some other problem. You should see the doctor who prescribed the azithromycin to determine the cause.
