Variable time: Some people have no diarrhea afterwards. Of those that do, it usually resolves after a few weeks. Avoiding fatty and fried foods usually helps. If the diarrhea persists, there is a medicine that can help with it.

Gallbladder: Diarrhea can be long lasting. There is a medication Questran (cholestyramine) that can help significantly by binding bike acids. Discuss with your surgeon or FP.
