A member asked:

My tsh and t4 were normal but i have many symptoms of hypothyroid. could it have developed in 2 months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely but possibl: Symptoms of a low thyroid are extremely common in the population. Most people who feel tired, gain weight, have dry skin, hair loss, memory loss, do not have a thyroid problem causing their symptoms. The TSH is extremely sensitive in detecting thyroid problems (despite what alternative doctors say), and if normal it means you do not have a thyroid problem. However, it can develop quickly.
