Omeprazole: There is no way you can monitor your stomach lining/ esophagus other than through your gastroenterologist who can perform serial upper endoscopies to assess for changes. He or she will be able to tell you when to stop taking Omeprazole. Your symptoms will be critical also in deciding further, keep a log, if any.
