Many answers: I will vote for largest numbers as well as overall nastiness (my opinion): virus: 1. Influenza - killed most people in pandemics 2. Ebola - evil, nasty, dead quickly (but rare) bacteria: 1. Yersinia pestis - plague pandemics 2. Clostridium botulinum - botulism toxin is very very toxic in small amounts.

That depends: are you asking about most # of deaths over history or virulence of actual organisms. I can't state #1.
