Unlikely: Aspartame has been implicated as a potential cause for otherwise unexplained and repeating severe anaphylactic reactions. Some patients swear it is a trigger. In small controlled studies, however, a link between aspartame and allergic sensitivity has not been established. I would work harder to identify alternative potential triggers. I would still avoid aspartame due to link with migraines, etc.
