Could be: Itching has many possible causes, but recurrent symptoms that are typical for a particular season of the year is highly suggestive. Coughing and other nonspecific throat/chest symptoms may also be suggestive of atopic asthma. For this reason, I firmly suggest you request lung function testing for asthma and referral to an Allergist.

See allergist: Many patients with asthma complain of itching at the trachea and the seasonal nature points to an allergic condition. I think you should find out whether you have asthma or not since coughing is a common symptom for asthma especially when it is triggered by exercise or exposure to cold air.

Allergic Rhinitis: The symptoms of itching, sneezing, coughing during the spring season is suggestive for seasonal allergic rhinitis with tree pollen trigger. It is best to confirm this diagnosis with an Allergist who can perform skin or blood testing to confirm. Treatment includes avoidance measures, OTC antihistamines, and daily intranasal steroid spray like fluticasone.
