My husband believes that it's unsafe to drink water when eating seafood. is there any reason for believing this ? my husband has had some dermatitis all over his body and two different dermatologists couldn't trace what might have caused it.

I : I don't know of any reason he believes this. I'm originally from maine and have eaten a lot of seafood along with tap water. Does he feel he is allergic to seafood?

No basis: This is an old superstition. I'm sorry about the dermatitis -- often the cause is never found. There are literally thousands of skin diseases, and sometimes the diagnosis is never made.
