Period pain: Or menstrual cramping feels the same as other pain arising from the pelvic area. For example GI cramping seen in irritable bowel syndrome or constipation can feel the same as menstrual cramps. Ovarian cysts can cause a similar pain. See your doctor for an exam to figure out the cause of your pain.
