I have hypothyroidism & on thyronorm 100mcg...can we take the medicine before bed at night rather than early morning?? will it reduce absorbing power?

Hypothyroidism: Great question! We recommend taking Levothyroxine on an empty stomach (2hrs before or after eating/drinking). However, some studies suggest better results if taken right before bedtime, presumably on empty stomach, too. As long as you're consistent & taking same time 24hrs apart, you should be fine. Tell prescribing doc that you're going to change timing & ask to recheck TSH in 6wks to be safe.

Absorption can be less: absorption can be less. If you take it every night on a regular basis. When you do this for an extended basis then your thyroid levels will stabilize and then your physician can adjust. Absorption can vary though and you will need periodic monigoring.
