Taken 375mg of effexor (venlafaxine) for 2+ yrs. lost 33 lbs. can weight loss effect the drug or does it make 0 diff. in effectiveness? want to lower my mg if so

Talk to your doctor : Your are on a hefty dose of Effexor (venlafaxine). Talk with your doctor before making any changes. I have seen some patients lose weight on their medicine. If you and your doctor determine that this is the maintenance dose required to manage your symptoms, then don't change.
