Otolaryngology: See an otolaryngologist (ENT). Nose bleeds may be caused by deviated septum, allergies, sinus infections, nasal picking, medication side effects, environmental causes and occasionally tumors. An otolaryngologist will evaluate and may cauterize the offending vessels in the office. Occasionally an nasal endoscopy and CT scan may be necessary.
